I am a marriage and family therapist licensed in California (48196), Oregon (T1776) and Washington State (LF61100009), seeing clients in-person and online in Los Angeles and via telehealth in California, Oregon and Washington. I use evidenced-based and somatic therapies with clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) and other Psychodynamic modalities. I work to assist people with OCD, depression, anxiety, death and loss, relationship conflicts, substance abuse, infectious disease, Perinatal Mood and Anxiety disorders, sex and sexuality and trouble with the creative process for artists and writers. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.

I began my career in the entertainment industry in production and development and was inspired to change course shortly following the tragedy of 9/11/2001, subsequently attending Pepperdine University for my graduate coursework and advanced degree. Prior to opening my private practice, I worked at a cross-section of community mental health organizations, including the Suicide Prevention Center, Didi Hirsch Community Mental Health, Pacific Clinics and APLA Health, where I successfully piloted one of the very first programs embedding mental health in housing services in LA County.

I enjoy teaching and have lectured and taught other clinicians in a wide variety of national and international settings, including the International Marce Society, Postpartum Support International’s (PSI) Annual Conference, and the United States Conference on AIDS, etc. I present on topics including sexuality, suicide, personality disorders, HIV/AIDS, trauma, homelessness, and Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and PMH screening, and am available for consult to other clinicians on these topics.

I am currently a board member for Postpartum Support International’s California chapter and serve as the Policy and Advocacy Chair.

I am an emeritus Governing Council member for Maternal Mental Health Now (formerly The Los Angeles County Perinatal Mental Health Task Force) after serving an eight year term, in addition to a current ongoing role as training faculty for the organization. I served as a Board Member of national maternal mental health policy and advocacy group 2020 Mom Project from 2014-2019, and subsequently sat on the organization’s Clinical Advisory panel through 2021

. In addition, I am training faculty and Emeritus Board Member for national perinatal loss organization Return to Zero: H.O.P.E.  and training faculty for Love, Dad. I a past co-chair of the Los Angeles County HIV Mental Health Task Force and am an AAMFT clinical fellow, among the first clinicians with the national PMH-C (Perinatal Mental Health Certification) designation through Postpartum Support International, certified in IPT by the the IPT Institute, certified in EMDR Therapy by EMDRIA, and an EMDRIA-approved Consultant.
